Prepare for Your First Visit to Harborn Dental

Your First Visit
On your first visit we provide the following services for adults:
Our staff will give you an introduction to Harborn Dental
We will evaluate your past medical and dental problems
Your dentist will do a comprehensive exam of your mouth for cavities, gum diseases, and other dental issues; oral cancer screening; checking your blood pressure; and make necessary radiographs (X-Rays)
Your dentist will share your diagnosis with you
We will discuss your needs and will offer you a customized treatment plan
We will schedule your treatment and work on the financial arrangements that work best for you
For Infants and Children
You should bring your child to us for the first visit within six months after the first tooth comes in and no later than the first birthday. We consider this visit a “well baby checkup” for teeth. We suggest you set an appointment with us right away if you observe discolorations, swellings, or anything else abnormal surrounding the teeth or gums of your child.
Your dentist will thoroughly examine your child before suggesting any treatment.
Your dentist will:
Evaluate your child’s past medical and dental problems
Examine the teeth and gums
Clean (prophylaxis) the teeth to prevent tooth decay
Necessary X-Rays will be taken
Discuss the treatment plan with you according to the findings
Discuss oral hygiene instructions
Share information about the prevention of early childhood decay, gum disease (gingivitis), and other dental concerns
